Fascinating chronicle from fellow FSM scribe David Bixenspan on the topic of royalty payments in regards to the use of likenesses on products such as DVDs and the WWE Network. This comes in light of the Gilbert family filing suit against WWE over non-payment to both Doug and the late Eddie Gilbert, which is going to be a hard sell, given prior cases brought against WWE that subsequently failed.
It's funny how the one person that truly beat WWE in such a case, Jesse Ventura, is the one that wanted to unionize in 1986. As Ventura noted in a 2012 shoot interview, if the wrestlers didn't want it for themselves, it's on them.
