Hideo Itami Could Be Out 6-8 Months
With Sami Zayn looking at possible rotator cuff surgey, NXT Takeover: Unstoppable is apparently suffering from the same curse that some UFC events are said to be afflicted with.
Hideo Itami, scheduled to wrestle Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze in a three-way match on May 20th to determine a new number one contender for the NXT Championship, is now said to be out for six to eight months with a shoulder injury, PWInsider reports.
Zayn's match with Kevin Owens is also in doubt, leaving open the possibility that the winner of a Balor-Breeze match could conceivably face Owens later in the evening. Such horrid misfortune for WWE's most enjoyable production, no matter what direction the show must now take.
